What Is An HRA-VEBA?

An HRA-VEBA is a Health Reimbursement Arrangement in which the employer contributes funds on the employees behalf to a Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association (VEBA). Funds held in a HRA-VEBA can be used to pay for medical expenses. Employer contributions, investment earnings, and withdrawals (claims) are all tax-free.
